The whole price, said before we start

Essential, Pro and Max cost the same to build: €750, once. What sets them apart is the work done each month. The price is what you pay: I don’t add VAT on top.

The plans

How to pay the monthly fee

Yearly, you pay eleven months and get twelve.

The build costs €750 with an initial twelve months of monthly fees, counted from delivery, or €1,500 without that commitment. If you choose the twelve months and leave early, you pay the lower of two amounts: the €750 discount in proportion to the months left, or half of the monthly fees left. After the initial period, or from the start without it, the monthly fee ends with thirty days' notice from either side, with no penalty and no reason needed.

Outside the plans

Taken with the site or later. What changes from group to group is when it is paid.

Every month

Google Business Profile€110a monthFor Essential clients who only want Google looked after.

The same work as in Max: new photos, correct opening hours and holidays, posts, replies to reviews and, at the end of the month, the calls and the requests for directions. On its own it costs more: inside Max, the difference from Pro is €90.

Social media€200a monthFor those who want social media without changing plan.

Two networks, up to three posts a fortnight from the ones you approve, and the month’s plan delivered before the month starts. On its own it costs more: inside Pro, the difference from Essential is €150.

Loyalty card€20a monthNo set-up cost. Adds €20 to the monthly fee of any plan.

The business’s loyalty card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet: customers keep it on their phone without downloading any app. The set-up and the Apple and Google fees are included in the €20. It works for as long as the monthly fee runs; if the service ends, the business receives the loyalty programme’s data.

Social media with shoots€400a monthFor those without social media in their plan. With Pro or Max, it adds €200 to the monthly fee.

The same as Social media: two networks, up to three posts a fortnight from the ones you approve and the month’s plan delivered before the month starts. On top of that, one visit a month to the business, up to two hours, to photograph and film what will be posted. The people in the videos are the business’s own team: I film, direct and edit, but I don’t bring actors or extras, and it is the business that asks for consent from whoever appears. The edited photos and videos belong to the business; the raw files stay with me.

Once

Logo€250onceFor those who have none, and then it stops being optional: the site doesn’t go live without a logo.

It appears in the header, in the browser tab, on the Google profile and on every social network, which is why it is the one thing I don’t leave undone. Two directions to choose from and one round of changes on the chosen one. I deliver SVG and PNG, for light and dark backgrounds, in horizontal and stacked versions, with the icon, the minimum size and the clear space, and the files belong to the business.

Logo vectorisation€60onceFor those who only have it as an image. If you already have it as a vector, it goes on the site at no cost.

A JPG, a PNG or a photo of the shop front becomes an SVG. I redraw it by hand, curve by curve, because automatic tracing leaves wavy outlines and crooked letters. I deliver SVG and PNG, for light and dark backgrounds, plus the icon. It is included from the Pro plan up, once: a logo is vectorised once and the file is done for good.

Visual identity€750onceFor those who want more than a logo.

The logo and its variants, the colours, the typefaces, the graphic elements and the applications the business uses, in a short manual that says how each one is used. If you have already paid the €250 for the logo, it comes off here, if you ask for the identity within twelve months.

Photo and video€350onceHalf a day at the business, taking photos and filming.

In a morning or a late afternoon, your choice. Camera, phone and drone, with the licence the law requires to fly. I deliver the edited images already placed on the site, plus a short video, and those are yours to use wherever you like. The raw files stay with me, as is the norm in the trade: what goes around with your name on it should be the finished version, not an unedited file. Included once a year in the Max plan.

Menu photography€250onceUp to 20 dishes. €200 if you already have a plan.

The dishes photographed at the business itself, all in the same way, so the menu reads as a set. I deliver the edited photos, to use on the site, on the Google profile, on social media and on delivery platforms, and they belong to the business; the raw files stay with me. Above 20 dishes, each extra one costs €10.

Delivery platforms€250onceOn one platform, such as Uber Eats or Glovo. On up to three, €350.

I rewrite the menu for the platform: categories, the order of the dishes, descriptions and photos, which are the ones the business has or those from the menu photography. I work out the prices with the platform’s commission and propose them, if your contract with it allows prices different from the dining room’s, and I set the opening hours and the delivery area right. It is one-off work, and the account and the contract with the platform belong to the business.

Typefaces are chosen. The identity chooses the brand’s typefaces and leaves the business licensed to use them. Designing a typeface from scratch is a different job, of months, and it is not part of this, nor at this price.

Some logos I won’t vectorise. A logo with gradients, shadows, textures or a drawing generated by artificial intelligence cannot become a vector without stopping being what it was. In those cases I say no, explain why, charge nothing for the refusal and propose a new logo.

Pay as you go

SMS campaigns4 centsper messageFor what has to be read on the day.

The credits sit in an account in the business’s name, bought at list price with no margin for me: a thousand messages cost around €40. I write and send them on the Pro and Max plans. Only to people who gave permission, and each message carries a way to unsubscribe.

Where you can stop

The build is paid in two halves, and before each one there is a point where you can walk away.

  1. 01

    €375refunded if you stop here

    Before the design

I deliver the site’s structure in writing, with what each page will say. If at that point you don’t want to go on, I refund the first half in full and we stop there. Any brand work already delivered to you stays yours and is not part of that refund.

  2. 02

    €375only after you’ve seen it

    Before paying the rest

I build the site and show it to you working, on your phone and on a computer. The second half is paid after that, and only then does the site go live.

Questions

If yours isn’t here, write to geral@carrageis.com

How long does it take?

Between one and three weeks, counted from when I have the photos, the copy and the business information. While material is missing, the clock stops.

Who owns the domain?

The business. It is registered in the company’s name and, if one day you want to change who looks after the site, you take the domain with you. I don’t tie anyone down through their domain.

What do I need to give you?

Up-to-date information, photos, opening hours, contact details and an idea of what sets the business apart. If you don’t have material yet, I’ll tell you what is worth preparing.

What if I don’t have a logo?

I make you one, and it is €250 extra, once. It is the one thing in the quote that cannot be left out: the logo appears in the header, in the browser tab, on the Google profile and on every social network. If you already have one as a vector (SVG, AI, EPS or a vector PDF), you pay nothing for it. If you only have an image, I redraw it as a vector for €60, and that vectorisation is included from Pro up; the exception is logos with gradients, shadows or a drawing made by AI, which don’t become vectors: then I say no, charge nothing and propose a new logo. And if you want the whole brand, with colours, typefaces, graphic elements, applications and a manual, it is €750, with the €250 for the logo taken off if you paid it in the last year.

How many pages does the site have?

It depends on the plan: up to five on Essential, eight on Pro and twelve on Max. The Custom plan has no limit, because there the number comes out of the survey. Almost no business needs more than its plan gives; if yours does, the extra page is quoted separately and agreed before I make it.

Can I change the content myself?

Yes. The content sits somewhere simple to edit and I show you how it works. If you prefer, I make the changes for you: the monthly fee includes one hour a month for that, and beyond that hour it is €30 an hour, with the amount stated before going ahead.

What if I already have a site?

I look at what is there. Sometimes it is worth redoing; other times it is enough to improve the message, the speed and the presence on Google. I tell you which of the two is your case before quoting.

How does social media work?

By fortnight: I send three proposals and publish up to three, from the ones you approve. The same piece serves both networks and counts once. Each proposal gets one round of changes, asked for in one go within two business days, and nothing goes out without your approval. If you’d rather not approve piece by piece, there is autonomous management: I publish without asking and you can have any post taken down. If you reject a piece outright, I make another, once a fortnight. Beyond this it is separate work, at €30 an hour, and I tell you the amount before going ahead.

Is there a monthly fee?

There is, and it is stated in each plan’s price: €90, €240 or €330 a month. The first €90 is always the same thing: hosting, domain, updates, repairs and one hour a month of content changes. The rest is the social media, email and Google work each plan includes. If you’d rather pay the year up front, you pay eleven months and get twelve. Each plan has a page limit: five on Essential, eight on Pro, twelve on Max. Pages beyond that, like new features, are quoted separately.

How and when do I pay?

The build is paid in two halves of €375: the first to start and the second after you have seen the site working, before it goes live. Each half can be paid by card, MB WAY or direct debit. The first monthly fee goes with the second half, and from then on it is collected by direct debit on the same day each month. Invoices are paid within eight days. You can also pay the year up front, with one month free.

Can I stop halfway?

You can, and there is a point for that before each half of the build. Before the design, I deliver in writing the site’s structure and what each page will say: if at that point you don’t want to go on, I refund the first €375 in full, within eight days. Then I show you the site working, on your phone and on a computer, and the second half is only paid after that. Brand work you have already received, such as a logo, is not part of the refund, and the files are yours.

How long am I tied in?

Twelve months, counted from the delivery of the site, if you choose the build at €750. Without that commitment, the build costs €1,500 and you are not tied in. After the twelve months, the monthly fee ends with thirty days' notice from either side, with no penalty and no reason needed. If you leave earlier, you pay the lower of two amounts: the €750 discount in proportion to the months left, or half of the monthly fees left. It is the same rule Portuguese law sets for telecom operators. If you leave because of a failure on my part, you pay nothing.

Can I change plan?

You can move up a plan at any time, and the new one counts from the following month. Moving down is only possible after the initial twelve months, also from the following month.
